I love a project that requires a lot of intricate detail. I admire people who can sit and sew strips of fabric together for patchwork quilts but I don't find much joy in that. I've tried a lot of methods for appliqué projects and there will be people who think their preferred method is the best, but the very best method is the one that works for you.
I've tried freezer paper, heat n bond, pellon fusible, needle turn, glue sticks with foundation paper and raw edge with a tight zig zag stitch. I'm settling in on pellon fusible for portraits and glue sticks with foundation paper for other projects for now, but I'm always willing to try something new.
